Welcome to my world! My books blend fantasy, romance and history, often with a bit of humor and/or suspense. They take place in fictional realms or feature alternative histories, incorporating elements from fairy tales and legends, maybe twisting them around a little bit. They’re written in first person point-of-view, and they’re told in present tense.

Wait. Isn’t Lyssa Royce a debut author? Not exactly. I’ve been writing and publishing long enough to know my way around a good story. Under my other author names, I’ve earned my letters (USA Today Bestselling), learned a lot about both writing and publishing, and had a great time. But these books are new and different. They’re a fresh start for me. They are the books I’ve always wanted to write.

I’m trying to minimize my time on social media – while it’s fun, I’d rather write more books! So, for the moment at least, this website is your best source to find out about my books etc. I also have a Facebook page, and the blog posts will be posted there automatically. I’m not setting up an email newsletter at this time – please subscribe to the blog here to receive my updates. At most, there will be one once a week, so you won’t be overwhelmed.
